What is the Olympia DNA?

The Olympia DNA is a group of Downtown Residents working together to encourage people living Downtown to cooperatively improve, maintain, and enjoy our neighborhood.

The Downtown Neighborhood Association is bordered by Budd Inlet to the north, Capitol Lake to the west, State Capital Campus to the south, and Eastside Street to the east. Our neighborhood contains family homes, duplexes, apartment buildings and businesses.

~ Article 2 - Geographic Scope and Membership

1. Downtown is defined as the neighborhood within the following outer geographic boundaries:

starting at the east end of the Yashiro Friendship Bridge;

following the coastline of Capitol Lake to the Capitol Campus;

then following a line through the Capitol Campus to meet 11th Avenue;

then following 11th Avenue east to Jefferson Street;

then following Jefferson Street south to 14th Avenue;

then following 14th Avenue east to Interstate 5;

then following Interstate 5 north to Eastside Street;

then following Eastside Street north to State Avenue;

then following State Avenue west to East Bay Drive;

then following East Bay Drive north to Olympia Avenue;

then following the southwest boundary of East Bay Waterfront Park to the shoreline;

then following the shoreline west and north to encompass the Port peninsula;

then ending at the start at the east end of the Yashiro Friendship Bridge.

Additionally, Swantown Marina and Fiddlehead Marina shall both be considered to be part of Downtown. ~
